FACTS & TRIVIA:
"Acrophobia" is the fear of heights.
Acrophobia's tagline, High Altitude Attitude, was originally misspelled on the queue house's sign. It said High Altiude Attitude.
Acrophobia is the first Intamin stand-up gyro drop tower.
Riders stand as they are hauled to the top of the tower, slowly spinning all the while -- then, at the top, a pause; and the riders are tilted outwards 15 degrees, facing the ground, before plunging 161 feet.
Acrophobia is located in the Brittish section.
SFOG's OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:
200-foot rotating tower drop ride, with a twist - riders stand during the entire 161-foot plummet. Must be at least 54" to ride.
