FACTS & TRIVIA:

  • A scenic ride, the SFOG Railroad is a means of transportation from the Marthasville station, located in the Confederate section near the Dahlonega Mine Train and the Georgia Cyclone, to the Rabun Gap station, located at the entrance of the USA section.

  • You can get off at the first stop or ride the complete circuit and end up where you began.

  • The SFOG railroad was the very first ride ever built at the park.

  • The two SFOG trains, the General and the Texas, ran on steam since the park's opening. However, in 2003, a new disel train was brought in, Gretta. For 2005, Gretta was replaced again by the General and the Texas, which have now been dieselized.

  • In years past, the SFOG railroad was transformed into the "Terror Train" for Fright Fest.
